Terms of use

1. Scope

These terms govern the use of Klangbrücke Gate, a platform for artists to offer original music files and for listeners to discover and download them. Klangbrücke Gate is operated by Dominic Drüseberg ("we", "us"). Our contact details are available in the Imprint.

2. Listener access

Public visitors do not create a Klangbrücke Gate account. Some releases may require interactions with external platforms before a file is unlocked. Any SoundCloud action is performed only when the listener deliberately connects SoundCloud and initiates that action. Optional Spotify and Instagram links never affect whether a download is unlocked.

3. Downloads and rights

A successful gate gives you access to the file supplied by the artist for that release. Unless the artist clearly grants broader permission, downloads are for your own private listening and collection only. A download does not transfer copyright, neighbouring rights, commercial-use rights or any other ownership rights in the music or artwork. Do not redistribute, sell, upload or exploit a file without the relevant rightsholder's permission.

4. Creator access

The creator area is available only to people invited by the platform owner. Keep sign-in links private and do not use another person's access. We may revoke access where necessary to protect the platform, other creators or listeners.

5. Creator responsibilities

Creators are responsible for the releases, audio files, artwork, artist information and links they add. Before publishing, a creator must hold all necessary rights, permissions and clearances for the uploaded material and for making it available through the platform. Creators must not upload unlawful, infringing, misleading, harmful or privacy-violating content.

Creators must not use Klangbrücke Gate to collect listener data outside the available features, to send spam, to impersonate others or to promote content that violates the rules of a linked third-party service. We may pause, unpublish or remove campaigns and content where there is a rights complaint, security concern, technical need or reasonable indication of a breach of these terms.

6. External platforms

Klangbrücke Gate links to or optionally connects with services such as SoundCloud, Spotify and Instagram. These services are independent from us and their own terms, community rules and privacy notices apply. We do not guarantee their availability, features or the outcome of interactions performed on their platforms. Klangbrücke Gate is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by SoundCloud, Spotify or Instagram.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the platform available and secure, but cannot promise uninterrupted access or permanent availability of every release, link or feature. We may update, restrict or discontinue features where reasonably necessary, including to address security, legal or operational requirements.

8. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, and where liability cannot legally be excluded. For simple negligence, we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations and only for foreseeable damage typical for this type of service. These limits do not affect any mandatory statutory consumer rights.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the platform changes or legal requirements make this necessary. The current version is always available on this page. Continued use after an update is subject to the revised terms to the extent legally permitted.
